This world-famous landmark never ceases to please tourists and locals alike - The Super Pit.
Originally named The Fimiston Open Pit, this grand chasm is one of WA's biggest open cut gold mines.
This pit is 3.5km long, 1.5km wide, and over 600m deep. Originally the pit was just a group of underground mines, but was consolidated in to one open mine in 1989.
The Super Pit Lookout is open 7am to 7pm daily. For information on blasting times, contact the KCGM Public Interaction Line on 9022 1100.
The Super Pit is a 20 minute drive from Prospector Holiday Park and Goldminer Tourist Carvan Park.
