Established on what is virtually an island encircled by the Swan and Helena Rivers, Guildford is ideally suited to exploration on foot.
Strolling the streets of Guildford, gateway to the Swan Valley, on the Guildford Heritage Walk Trails you get the feeling you're in a charming little village that time forgot. It's a place where history lives on in quaint colonial buildings, where the influence of the English gentry is still played out on the polo field.
To assist you in discovering the numerous fascinating historical buildings, lively characters and wonderful stories of this 'island village', four self-guided heritage walk trails with 50 interpretive panels have been built.
The trails start and finish at the Old Guildford Courthouse, which is now Swan Valley Visitor Centre.
The Visitor Centre is currently closed, but the trails are still waiting to be explored!
The Swan Valley Visitor Centre is a 10 minute drive from Swan Valley Tourist Park.
