DUNDAS ROCKS AND LONE GRAVE 

22km south of town lies the 550 million-year-old Dundas Rocks, and a mesmorizing Lone Grave. 
Ideal for picnics, climbing and photography, this relaxing bushwalk will lead you to see the ancient rock formations and the remains of the old ghost town.

HERITAGE TRAIL

 

With Norseman in the middle of the Great Western Woodlands, it's no wonder there are so many walking and driving trails to keep you entertained! 

Founded in 1894, this town will treat you to endless landscapes of eucalypts, shrubbery and rocky outcrops. The most famous driving route is the Dundas Coach Road Heritage Trail, which takes around 2 hours to complete.

So get buckling and head down here!

BEACON HILL LOOKOUT

To those who want something more local, Beacon Hill is the place you're looking for!

Take 5-minute drive along Mines Road for a 360° view over the township, the surrounding countryside, and the gorgeous lakes. Even better - there is a short walk trail for that daily excerise!

You'll feel like you're at the top of the world at this spectacular lookout!

TAILINGS DUMP

As you drive up to Beacon Hill there is the opportunity to view the grand sculptured Tailings Dump that sits on the side of the road. 

How cool is that?

Tailings Dump are residue leftovers from processing gold, and this dump in particular still has a lot of gold left in it!

BROMUS DAM 

Approximately 32km south of Norseman, Bromus Dam is the epitome of early workmanship in the pioneer days!

It is a reliable water source for steam trains, and is a popular attraction that is occassionally used as a free campground.

NORSEMAN HISTORICAL MUSEUM 

There is a wonderful collection of memorabilia housed in what used to be the 'School of Mines' building, telling fascinating stories about the mining industry, and the early settlers who pioneered this region. 

Friendly volunteers will guide you through the museum, so be prepared to witness mind-boggling information about the evolution of WA!

NORSEMAN

The lovely bronze statue of “Norseman” recognizes the part the horse played in establishing the town, dedicated to the pioneers. 

It is a life-sized, bronze sculpture made for you to fill your head with fascinating information, and aims to commemorate the animals who laboured just as hard in the opening of WA.

CORRUGATED IRON CAMELS

And have you ever wondered why the roads in Norseman are so wide? 

The brilliant life-size beasts - Tin Camels - are a tribute to the camel trains that carried all the freight and mail in the early days!

Wide roads helped them to turn around more easily, and now, these Tin Camels are an honorable structure, a tribute to this piece of history!

Deposits, Cancellation and Refund Policy

Cancellations

A $30 cancellation fee will be charged on all cancellations.

Cancellations made with more than 30 days of notification are eligible for a full refund less the cancellation fee.

Cancellations made with 15-30 days notification are eligible for a 50% refund of the balance after the cancellation fee is deducted. Alternatively, the entire amount (after the cancellation fee is deducted) can be held in the guest’s account for a maximum of 12 months to enable re-booking at any of the Acclaim Holiday Park locations.

Cancellations made with 1-14 days notification are not eligible for a refund. However, the balance remaining after the cancellation fee is deducted will be held in the guest’s account for a maximum of 12 months to enable the guest to rebook at any of the Acclaim Holiday Park locations. The tariff may vary depending on seasonal rates.

Bookings made via a third party must be cancelled via the same agent e.g., booking.com, expedia.com.

We regret that no refund can be applied to early departures for whatever reason.

Deposits & Payments

All bookings require 100% payment at the time of booking.

All bookings also require a key deposit, that is fully refundable on returning the keys:

Tariffs quoted are based on the number of persons advised at the time of booking. The tariff will vary if the number of guests changes or if there is a tariff increase. The tariff payable is that applicable on the date of arrival.

All booking modifications/cancellations are required to be notified by email.

Fees

May be available – check with manager at the time of booking (a fee may be payable).

High Season - December-January school holiday (min 5 nights) and Easter weekend (min 3 nights)

Being a pet-friendly Park we welcome TOURIST CARAVANNERS with small pets, subject to the following conditions:
* The prospective guest must make it clear they will be traveling with a pet in their caravan at the time of booking
* Pets must be kept on a lead at all times when not in the guest's caravan
* Park Pet Policy must be adhered to at all times (copy provided at check-in or prior to on request).

We regret we are unable to permit large dogs or dogs of a breed that may cause other guests to experience anxiety or fear for their safety. For this reason, breeds such as rottweilers and pit bull terriers are expressly forbidden in the Park.
